Wabi Premium Usucha Matcha is the signature Yame Matcha from the heartland of Fukuoka Prefecture. The tea garden is shaded for 25-30 days using traditional rice straw “sunoko” shading, which allows to achieve the gradual development of L-theanine resulting in rich umami profile. The blend is led by Okumidori and Saemidori cultivars and complemented by Gokou and Asahi for extra depth of flavor. It has a bright jade-green color, complex aromas, silky and smooth mouthfeel with a subtle sweetness and a focused umami.
