Tamaryokucha is a rare Japanese green tea Kyushu accounting for less than 2% of all tea production in Japan.  Similarly to Sencha, Tamaryokucha is steamed to stop the oxidation, however the rolling process is omitted resulting in green curly leaves. Wabi Tamaryokucha is harvested in spring and medium steamed (chumushi) to render to the brew beautiful vibrant green color, medium umami, low astringency and a balanced finish.
